I tried a little something different this time.  I vellum to get a different background look.
You will need:
-  Coaster mold (find in Products I Use above, or linked below)
-  Easy Cast Resin (find in Products I Use above or linked below)
-  Vellum - I found it at Michaels
-  Wood love - also from Michaels
-  Mold Release (optional - the mold works without it, but it conditions the mold and makes it last longer)
-  Chunky silver confetti

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Prepare your resin, according to the package directions.
2.  Mix in chunky silver confetti.
3.  Pour into mold and use the stir stick to help spread it to the edges of the mold.
4.  Let it sit for 12 hours.
5.  In the meantime, paint the wood LOVE, with red acrylic paint.  It might take multiple coats.  And cut the vellum to fit into the coaster mold.
6.  Prepare more resin and pour a thin coat over the cured silver glitter.
7.  Slide the vellum into the resin.  Use your stir stick to press down the vellum and push out any bubbles.
8.  Carefully place your wood LOVE into the resin.  TIP:  Don't fill it too much because you don't want the wood LOVE to float.
9.  Let it all sit for 12 hours.  Remove bubbles as necessary with either a lighter or straw.
10.  Prepare more resin and pour it into the mold, making sure you have enough to completely cover the wood.
11.  Let it sit for 12 hours.
12.  Unmold it.

That's it!  Now you have a beautiful coaster!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Did you buy the vellum with the design already on it?
