My nephew, Alex, found a dragonfly wing - just the wing.  Supposedly it signifies change.  That could be exciting!  He asked if I could put it in resin for him.  Of course!!  So I made it a paperweight.

You will need:

Pigment powder (white): http://amzn.to/2bLLHyS
Pigment powder (green): http://amzn.to/2c1nN0a
Pigment powders: http://amzn.to/2bL6Rwa
Dragonfly wing:  I can't help you with that one!

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Pour about 1/2 an ounce of less of the resin into the mold.  Use your lighter to pop the bubbles and let it cure for 12 hours.
2.  Because the dragonfly wing was almost clear, I needed to add a little color to it, so it would not get lost in the background.  I used a blue, but you can use any color you want.  I used the Mod Podge mixed with the pigment powder and painted it on one side of the dragonfly wing.  I did two coats.
3.  Once dry, I sealed the other side with the clear Mod Podge.
4.  Once everything was dry, I added more resin the mold maybe a 1/4 ounce and placed the wing in the mold.  I then dripped additional resin over the wing.  I popped bubbles and let it cure.
5.  I added an additional 1/4 ounce and popped the bubbles.  Let it cure.
6.  I mixed an additional 1/2 ounce and added white pigment powder and just a tiny bit of the green.  Once mixed, I poured it into the mold, popped the bubbles and let it cure.
7.  Once everything has cured, unmold it and that's it!

Now you have a very cool paperweight!!!
