Fast Cast (background): https://amzn.to/2wTZ6wc
Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. Brush the inside of the coaster mold with pigment powder. Tap off any excess.
2. Measure out your Fast Cast - in separate cups. You will need one ounce for the base.
3. Mix bright pink pigment into part A of the resin. Mix it well.
4. Then mix the Part A and Part B according to the package directions.
5. Pour into coaster mold and allow to cure.
6. Print your image onto card stock.
7. Use your circle cutter to cut the bottom of the image out, so it goes along with the curve of the coaster mold.
8. Cut the rest of the image out.
9. Take your black permanent marker and color the edge of the image, so you don't see the white edge. Let it dry.
10. Use the Super Gloss Mod Podge and adhere it to the resin coaster. Let it dry and do two more coats, to make sure the image is well sealed. Allow to completely dry.
11. Mix one ounce of the clear resin and pour it over the resin coaster. Pop bubbles with the lighter. Allow to cure a minimum of 12 hours.
12. Once cured, remove from mold.
13. Using tweezers, take small gems/rhinestones with flat backs and dip them into glue. Then place them on the coaster.
14. Once dry, your coaster is complete!
Hope you like it! Remember: Life's too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™ Stay safe!

My nephew, Alex, found a dragonfly wing - just the wing. Supposedly it signifies change. That could be exciting! He asked if I could put it in resin for him. Of course!! So I made it a paperweight.
You will need:
Mold: http://amzn.to/2cmZpnY
Resin: http://amzn.to/2bTAVD5
Pigment powder (white): http://amzn.to/2bLLHyS
Pigment powder (green): http://amzn.to/2c1nN0a
Mod Podge: http://amzn.to/2c3P2ZO
Dragonfly wing: I can't help you with that one!
Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. Pour about 1/2 an ounce of less of the resin into the mold. Use your lighter to pop the bubbles and let it cure for 12 hours.
2. Because the dragonfly wing was almost clear, I needed to add a little color to it, so it would not get lost in the background. I used a blue, but you can use any color you want. I used the Mod Podge mixed with the pigment powder and painted it on one side of the dragonfly wing. I did two coats.
3. Once dry, I sealed the other side with the clear Mod Podge.
4. Once everything was dry, I added more resin the mold maybe a 1/4 ounce and placed the wing in the mold. I then dripped additional resin over the wing. I popped bubbles and let it cure.
5. I added an additional 1/4 ounce and popped the bubbles. Let it cure.
6. I mixed an additional 1/2 ounce and added white pigment powder and just a tiny bit of the green. Once mixed, I poured it into the mold, popped the bubbles and let it cure.
7. Once everything has cured, unmold it and that's it!
Now you have a very cool paperweight!!!

Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. Use your pigment powder and soft brush and brush the pigment powder into the mold.
2. Mix 2 ounces of your resin (I used Fast Cast, but you could do Easy Cast and add white pigment).
3. Pour it in over your pigment powder.
4. Pop bubbles as needed, with your lighter and allow to cure.
5. Print out your images on transparency film and cut out.
6. With a combination of Mod Podge and the pigment powder, mix both together and brush it onto the edges of the of the resin, to give it a grimy kind of look, but keep the middle clean! I used paper towels to dab it and soften it.
7. Once dry, mix two ounces of Easy Cast and pour into the molds. Pop bubbles with your lighter.
8. Slide the images into the resin and press with the stir stick, to press out all the bubbles.
9. Pop bubbles with lighter again and allow to cure a minimum of 12 hours.

This week's coaster was inspired by the popular river tables.
You will need:
Resin: http://amzn.to/1TYQmJz
Pigment: http://amzn.to/25DLhPI
Wood square: http://amzn.to/1r4Ce7e
Saw (optional): http://amzn.to/287gWrn

Silly Putty: http://amzn.to/1r4EeMQ
Packing tape: http://amzn.to/22BrWsV
Dremel too (optional): http://amzn.to/1r4EBqE
Wood burning tool (optional): http://amzn.to/1O74Yax
Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. Draw an outline, of the river, on the wood.
2. Cut out the outline.
3. Rough up the cut edge. I used Dremel tool, but a wood burning tool would work great too.
4. Stain the wood and allow to dry.
5. Using packing tape, tape the two pieces of wood to the tape (sticky side up), to create the channel. Turn it over and rub it, to make sure the tape has made good contact with the wood.
6. Then run the wood along the back, running the opposite direction.
7. Add Silly Putty to the open ends of the channel. (See video).
8. Mix one ounce of resin and mix in the blue pigment dye.
9. Pour it into the channel you created.
10. Carefully pop bubbles with your lighter. Do not set your project on fire. Remember you are working with wood.
11. Allow to cure a minimum of 12 hours before removing the Silly Putty and the tape.

Greg and I went to visit my Aunt Rose, down in Florida, a couple of months ago. She retired down there a number of years ago. She's very actively involved in playing cards. She taught us a few different game and there was on in particular that stuck with us. She said some people call it Love Your Neighbor, while others call it Screw Your Neighbor.
In a future post, I will teach you how to play it.
Since they bet on their games, I decided it would be fun to make a bowl/dish for her to use when people come over. It would function as the kitty or pot for the money to go into.
This is what I came up with:
You will need:
- Resin: http://amzn.to/1XLRQKf
- Fine glitter - green and yellow
- Playing card buttons
- Playing card buttons
Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. Mix two ounces of resin and mix in the green glitter.
2. Once well mixed, pour it into the side of the mold. If you drip some on the middle, just let it cure and then you can clean it up easier.
3. Pop bubbles with the lighter and allow to cure a minimum of 12 hours.
4. Mix two more ounces of resin and mix in yellow, fine glitter.
5. Pour it into the mold and pop bubbles with lighter. Allow to cure at least 12 hours.
6. Unmold the bowl.
7. Once on molded you can glue in the plastic buttons and cards. Make sure you use a glue that dries clear. Allow to dry. TIP: If you cut off the back of the buttons, they will lay flatter in the bowl.
8. Once the glue has dried, mix two more ounces of the resin and pour it over. Pop bubbles with lighter. Allow to cure a minimum of 12 hours.
Here's another project I made with that mold:

Time for a Sock Monkey coaster! The sock monkey, boy is that a classic! I decided it would only make sense to give the cute sock monkey stickers a fitting background, so I cut up some old socks.
You will need:
- Coaster mold: http://amzn.to/1VbPp2P
- Resin: http://amzn.to/1RbGvv2
- Sock Monkey stickers: http://amzn.to/1TskzSn
- Old socks: in your sock drawer
Here is the video tutorial:
Directions:
1. You want to cut old socks into small pieces.
2. Mix one ounce of resin at a time. I did two one ounce batches, because I am dipping the sock pieces into the resin and I didn't want fuzz from one color sock to get on the other color sock.
3. I laid the pieces of dipped sock into the coaster mold.
4. I then added another half ounce to each, so the surface would be level for the stickers. I took my lighter and popped the bubbles and let it cure a minimum of 12 hours.
5. I put my stickers on the cured resin and mixed two more ounces.
6. I poured the resin over the stickers, popped the bubbles with my lighter and let it cure a minimum of 12 hours.
That's it! No unmold it and you have some classic craft coasters!
