We are making Mosaic Gem Coasters, with mini gems from Gemnique.  If you take some time and explore their website, you will find gems in different size and colors, all to fit your home decor needs!  They also have water beads, which would be a fun way to dress up a vase for the holidays.  There marbles and fun glass shapes available as well.

You will need:
- Black acrylic paint:  http://amzn.to/2e87MmK
-  Wood squares (different, but might work):  http://amzn.to/2e1OhgJ
-  Glue:  http://amzn.to/2egrSAz
Gems:
Find an amazing assortment of gems at:  http://www.gemnique.com
-  Latte gems(beige):  http://www.gemnique.com/glass-gems/mini-glass-gems/mini-glass-gems-latte-opaque/
-  Turquoise gems:  http://www.gemnique.com/glass-gems/mini-glass-gems/mini-glass-gems-turquoise-opaque/
-  Green gems:  http://www.gemnique.com/glass-gems/mini-glass-gems/mini-glass-gems-green-opaque/

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Paint the wood pieces black - front and back - two coats.
2.  Glue on gems and allow to dry.
3.  Grout the coasters.  Be sure to follow the directions on your grout.  All products are different.  You should find the mixing proportions and application directions, as well as clean up directions on the container.
4.  Once you have grouted the pieces and have let them dry, be sure to buff them with a soft cloth, so the gems shine!
5.  You can seal the grout, to prevent stains.  You can also add little rubber feet or bumpers on the bottom, to protect your furniture.

That's it!  Thanks for stopping by!
Remember:  Life's too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™  Stay safe!

DIY Glitter and Crystal Wine Bottle Stopper

To stay on top of the latest, remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel!

You can make an elegant gift for the wine lover in your life, or make one for yourself!

You will need:
-  Wine bottle stopper ( I bought mine at Hobby Lobby)
-  Jewelry Clay (You can find it under Products I Use and for more info, go to www.eti-usa.com)
-  Crystals
-  Fine glitter
-  Gloves

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Prepare your clay by mixing equal parts of the A and B.
2.  When completely mixed, split again and roll into a ball.
3.  Take one ball and attach to one side of the wine stopper and repeat on the other side.
4.  Take your gems/crystals and press them into the clay.  Try not to get any clay fingerprints on the gems.
5.  When you have your gems/crystals in place, take fine glitter and sprinkle onto both sides.
6.  Gently press or tap the glitter, to make sure it is in contact with the clay.
7.  Allow to set (check out the directions on your clay package).
8.  Once cured, gently brush off any excess glitter and you are finished!!

Pop it in a wine bottle, or give it as a gift!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Crafting!

Easy Glass Gem Snowflake How To

After doing the glass gem Christmas tree, I thought this would be fun too!

You will need:

-  Four popsicle sticks per snowflake
-  White acrylic paint
-  Glue
-  White ribbon
-  Glass gems - clear or white

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:
1.  Take two popsicle sticks and make a cross and glue together where they meet.
2.  Take the other two popsicles sticks and do the same.
3.  Now take both of the crosses and glue them together, so none of the arms cover the others.
4.  Once glue is dry or cool, paint it white.
5.  Now glue the gems onto the arms.
6.  Glue a loop of ribbon onto the back of a gem or end of a popsicle stick.

Once everything is cool/dry, you can hang your new ornament.  There are perfect to hang on a wall because they are flat in back.  If kids are making them, they can put their name and year they made it on the back.

Thanks for stopping by!  Happy Holidays and Happy Crafting!
