DIY Play Make Up Tutorial ~ Resin Crafts ~ Craft Klatch

Learn how to make some play makeup using resin and glitter!

Little girls love playing with make up.  This make up is sparkly, colorful and it won't make a mess!

Here's a quick tutorial, so you can see exactly how I made it:

The links below help support this channel,  as I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you.
You will need:

Directions:
1.  I went to the dollar store and purchased some inexpensive powdered makeup.  I basically wanted it for the containers, but actually, you can save the make up in little containers and use them in the future, to color your resin!!!

2.  I used my craft knife to scrape out the make up.  I used the three color eyeshadows and the cover up to color the resin.  I used glitter and resin for the eyeshadow container that has all the little compartments.

3.  I crushed the powdered make up, to get it ready to mix into the resin.

4.  I stared off with one ounce of resin and split it into smaller cups.  I mixed the make up into the resin - you don't need too much.

5.  I dripped it into the make up containers.

6.  I used my lighter to pop the bubbles.  Be careful to run the lighter over quickly, or else you run the risk of melting the plastic.

I repeated with the cover up.

As I mentioned before, I mixed the resin and different color glitters for the other make up container.

7.  I let the resin cure a minimum of 12 hours before handling.  Then, I had great make up, perfect for play and dress up!

That's it!  Thanks for stopping by!  Remember:  Life's too short not to shimmer, so grab your glue gun and your glitter!™  Stay safe!

I've been making the accessories, but now it's time to pull it all together.  I need some makeup to bring out my finer qualities.  Oriental Trading sent me the Woochie FX Kit to help me complete my look.

Here it is!

You will need:  Woochie Witch FX makeup kit

Here is the video tutorial:

Directions:

1.  Pull your hair back so you can better apply the makeup.
2.  Take the nose and hold it in place on your face.  With the puff, dust the finishing powder around the nose.  This should leave a line to use as a guide to apply the spirit gum.
3.  Apply the spirit gum where the nose will be attached to your face.  Tap the spirit gum to activate it.  It will become very sticky from your tapping.
4.  Apply nose to the spirit gum and it should stick well.
5.  Repeat process for the chin.
6.  Repeat process with the warts.
7.  Take the latex and apply it to the edges of the nose and chin to help disguise the edges.  It will take more than one coat.  I will suggest that you also apply the latex over the the nose and chin in a more stippling style. Also do that on your face.  I found my face and the pieces took the makeup differently and this seemed to help it look more natural and give me an overall unpleasant complexion, like one might expect from a wicked green witch.
8.  Apply the forensic green makeup all over your face and neck.
9.  Take the black and accentuate the eyes, your eyebrows and even your lips.  Blend as desired.
10.  Apply the finishing powder all over the makeup.

That's it for the makeup!  Now you need to make sure you have your outfit and all your other accessories in place.

Once you have your make up done, you might want to see how to put it all together!
